About our team
As a child I grew my first patch of cornflowers in a small corner of our farm. I was fascinated by the abundance of flowers produced from just a handful of tiny seeds and have loved growing things ever since. After many years working as a scientist, gardener, outdoor educator and in conservation, I decided to combine all this experience and set up Keeping the Plot. My aim is to grow beautiful flowers while respecting and caring for the environment.
I believe that flowers deserve a place in all our lives and need not be reserved for special occasions. Locally grown flowers are true to time and place and reflect the care, passion and craftsmanship that has produced them. My happiest days are spent outside on the land and I feel privileged to be able to grow and care for plants, surrounded by nature every day.
